How long is SoftwareAssociates in Business?
SoftwareAssociates was founded in several stages, but we like to refer to the start in 2008.

What's the difference between SoftwareAssociates and a SoftwareAssociates portfolio company?
SoftwareAssociates (SA) itself currently employs 12 people who provide support to the portfolio companies.
Employees of SA are compensated by SA, hold SA stock options, and receive SA benefits.
SA portfolio companies are companies that are either acquired/merged/spinoff/ developed by SA or created from ideas by SA. They are legally separate entities managed by independent teams of executives who report to their respective boards of directors. Employees of SA portfolio companies are compensated by the portfolio company itself (not by SA), and typically hold stock options in the particular company, and receive that company's benefits.

I have a great ideea for a business.
Can i submit my ideea to SoftwareAssociates?

SoftwareAssociates is accepting outside business proposals for review although we primarily found and build businesses from ideas that are generated internally or from companies acquired or merged with SoftwareAssociates.

Submission - important waiver of rights
SA is primarily focused on developing and operating technology companies based on its own internally-generated ideas and spin offs of it’s portfolio companies. SA does not invite the submission of business plans, ideas, concepts, inventions or any other material ("Material"). Please do not disclose to SA, its employees, representatives or agents any Material that you believe is confidential or proprietary, or for which you expect to receive consideration or compensation in any form. By submitting Material to SA, you acknowledge that such Material is neither confidential nor proprietary, and you waive the right to receive compensation of any kind for the Material.
